Hey folks, just a few words from me before Mom takes the blogging reins. A friendly tip: when you're driving in Arizona and you see a sign that says "Horses Next 15" or "Cows Next 5" or "Pedestrians Next 1" PAY ATTENTION. By the end of the day, we had passed and/or almost run down:
* Horses
* Burros
* Cows
* Dead Cows
There were also some nerve-wracking moments involving ostriches.
And since I'm making lists, here's a one of our pit stops for the day:
1. Joe and Aggie's Diner, Holbrook AZ
2. Interstate 40, exit 293, which is not, NOT full of fantastical dinosaurs, no matter what the billboards say
3. Stewart's Petrified Wood
4. Petrified Forest National Park, which exerts a strange, magnetic influence on all members of our family (moths to the flame, we are)
5. Canyon de Chelly
6. Mexican Water, AZ
7. Four Corners Monument
8. Ute Mountain Casino
9. Cortez, CO
